I woke up one day wanting to save the planet. Not someone to stay focused on just one aspect of this tremendous challenge, I started Barb's Ideas, so I can plant ideas that can, as the tag-line reads, Make Change to Save The Planet.

Barb's Ideas came out of a desire to do something, anything, to have a positive impact on our planet. And as ideas came to mind, two things became clear:

1. I had a lot of ideas, and
2. I was never going to do them all, nor, in fact, would I likely follow through on many of them.

But if an idea is out there, maybe someone will take it, use it, do it and make a difference.

Come to Barb's Ideas to make a little change (the cash kind) by starting up an eco biz, take a challenge towards sustainability, figure out how to go green and buy local, laugh at the challenges of "The Conscientious Hypocrite," turn your creativity toward inventing or to creating eco-friendly products or art, apply for a small grant to study an eco topic (students), look to peer-to-peer lending for loans towards eco businesses or improvements, and read about implemented ideas to encourage you to make your own change.

If you ask a person if they can, should or want to do something to help save the planet, you'll almost always hear, yes. Ask them what they are doing to help save the planet, and you might hear, I recycle...sometimes.
